Group services versus Private services?

This is a question we all need to ask ourselves when planning a trip. The answer depends largely on the age, the particular interests of each person and, above all, the economy of each passenger. Below, we list the differences between conducting a group service versus a private service. It should be noted that, in either of the two modalities, you will receive top quality care from the entire team of professionals who will make your trip unforgettable

Group Services

  • The driver follows the stops designated by the tour
  • Groups can have between 15 and 20 people
  • Guidance is simultaneous in English and Spanish for the entire group
  • The itinerary has to be strict to fulfill the daily plan
  • Guidance is available at the same time for the entire group
  • The main advantage of group services is the affordable price

Private Services

  • The driver will make the necessary stops where you indicate
  • Of 5 or more people, the private service has a similar price to the group service.
  • You own the time you want to have at each stop
  • Guidance is in only 1 language and at the passenger’s choice (prior consultation for rare languages)
  • The guide will be available only for you and attentive to your requirements
  • The travel experience becomes much more personal and deep in knowledge

We urge you to get in touch with us so we can design your trip to Peru together, probably combining some excursions in private and some in group services. Our team of experienced voyagers knows what it means to plan a trip of a lifetime as well as the investment that implies, therefore, we want everything to go perfect.

DAY 02 AMAZON RIVER / YARAPA RIVER / NAUTA CAÑO

Breakfast, lunch, dinner

Wake up early to watch the beautiful sunrise for the first time on the Amazon River, a first, dramatic glimpse of your upcoming adventures.

You will enjoy a sumptuous daily breakfast buffet before board our comfortable skiff to sail from the Amazon River to the Yarapa River. Keep your binoculars ready to spot wildlife: tropical songbirds, black collared hawks and sloths, share this wonderful world with us.

After the arrival to Moringo river, you can use your fishing tools to try to catch some of the fierce piranhas, as well as other species of fish.

As the sun sets, you head off on an evening’s wildlife excursion with extraordinary stargazing on the black waters of Nauta Caño.

NOTE: In the low water season, visit the Yanayacu Pucate River instead of The Yarapa River and visit a remote village along Marañon River instead of the fishing activities at Moringo´s lake and the wildlife excursion in Nauta Caño.

DAY 03 MARAÑON CREEK / SUSPENDED BRIDGES / YANAYACU-PUCATE

Breakfast, lunch, dinner

Rise with the sun to explore a ‘lost river’ along the Marañon River. After breakfast, you will take a jungle walk across suspended bridges deep into the high Amazon rainforest. Later, swim, canoe or kayak in Yanayacu-Pucate River as you look for legendary pink river dolphins. Focus our hi-tech telescope on the night sky to identify the planets and constellations. This evening before dinner, we will gather to introduce you to some of the crewmembers whom you may not have met, working “behind the scenes” to ensure your countless exceptional experiences aboard the ARIA AMAZON.

NOTE: In the low water season, visit the Samiria river and Nauta Caño instead of Marañon River and Yanayacu Pucate relatively.

DAY 04 NAUTA TOWN / MANATEE RESCUE CENTER / TRANSFER TO THE AIRPORT

Breakfast & lunch

This morning, you will visit the local fresh market with your guides who can identify the day’s catch by the fishermen of Amazonia and the region’s exotic fruits. Return to the ARIA for breakfast and to pack up. Before saying goodbye, you will visit the Manatee Rescue Center, a kind of animal orphanage for Amazonian manatees to rescue, rehabilitate and release them back into the wild. You will also visit San Juan craft market on route to the airport. Lunch or box lunch will be provided, depending on the exact departure flight time, which may vary. Other local activities may be included as well, according to the flight schedule.

NOTE: This day has the same itinerary for low season and high season

All itineraries are subject to change, due to weather and other conditions.  All times indicated are approximate, and are also subject to change.

We recommend taking vitamin B or B12 prior to your arrival in the jungle as it is the best natural repellent against pesky mosquitoes.

MAKE IT DIFFERENT!

Ask our experts travel advisors to complete your trip including a visit to the impressive citadel of Machu Picchu, the challenging Inca Trail, the impressive Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world, the majestic Colca Canyon, the mysterious Nazca lines, the enigmatic jungle or the Kingdom of the Chachapoyas
