Inti Raymi Full Day. You cannot miss this Inti Raymi Festival! Spend the day living the amazing ceremony to the Sun God of the Incas, the most important, spectacular and magnificent festivity of the whole Tahuantinsuyo empire, that the Incas celebrated after the largest night of the year, June 23th, date considered before solstice to ask the Sun to come back to the Earth, thus beginning the summer.
Experience a series of rituals such as the performance of the Llama sacrifice and a ceremony of the new fire celebrated by the Inca priest. To seat and observe the ceremony on your own is not enough to fully understand the meaning of every performance but if you have an expert guide who explain you every step of the ceremony this will give you a great knowledge of the Inca’s universe, thoughts, fears and beliefs.
This Inca fest makes each Cusco people feel the Inca blood run through their veins and revalue their past, is for this reason that it is very important for the Peruvian culture.
